Known as the 'little lady with the big voice', LaShia has shown audiences in a number of venues that she is more than a singer; she is an entertainer and on the verge of becoming the next musical phenomenon. A writer as well, LaShia has vowed to bring back the 'feel' of R&B.

Born and raised in North Philadelphia,
Kyisha 'LaShia' Smith has had music around her all her life. As a result of her father being a DJ, she has been exposed to different artists and different genres; but LaShia gravitated more towards the allure of R&B. Listening to the music of Toni Braxton, Brian McKnight, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Marsha Ambrosius from childhood well into adulthood, helped fuel her passion for becoming singer, songwriter and, more importantly, a star.
At the age of thirteen, LaShia began writing and shaping her craft. By the age of seventeen, she was willing and ready to grace the stage. The first event, 'Jus Words', at Dowlings' Palace in North Philly would be one to change her life forever. Her sultry vocals and overwhelming stage presence had LaShia quickly dubbed the 'Jus Words Angel'. She went on to perform in several other venues throughout Philadelphia including 7165 Lounge (formerly North By Northwest), The Mezzanine, Jolly's Piano Bar, Jollies', Cobre Lounge and The Theatre of Living Arts. LaShia has ventured outside of her hometown as well, performing at venues in New York and New Jersey.
Being an entertainer is only one aspect of LaShia's musical abilities; songwriter is one of her titles as well. She has a songwriting credit for the song, "Love U More", recorded by fellow R&B Artist, Tony' Jones. She is also co-writer of "Crossed Lines", an R&B duet recorded by herself and fellow artist, Vandy B.
LaShia is currently working on her first album and performing throughout Philadelphia. She may be coming to a city near you! Feel free to follow her on Instagram and Twitter @lashiastar or visit her artist fan page at www.facebook.com/lashiastar .
